Wheel System 30 = SOLD OUT

Yes, it has happened again. I am terribly sorry to confirm that I am sold out of Wheel System 30. Once again, demand is outpacing my forecast model. It's great to know there is high demand for Williams Wheels.

Wheel Sytem 19 inventory is running low.

I expect a new shipment of 19's, 30's, 58 Full Carbon Tubulars, discs, and a new secret model in mid August!

Ken Hanson Wins Boise Twilight

Ken was sponsored by Williams in 2008. He won Elite Crit nats on our wheels. Ken now races for the pro team Team Type 1. He pulled off a major win Saturday night in Boise!

Race winner Ken Hanson (Team Type 1) in action during the Boise Twilight Criterium.
It was an electrifying final five laps at the Boise Twilight Criterium as Team Type 1 executed a full team lead-out that delivered Ken Hanson into victory and his teammate Aldo Ino Ilesic to second place after the bunch kick to the line. Sebastian Haedo (Colavita-Sutter Home) placed third.
"The team was great," Hanson said. "It was awesome. It couldn't have been more perfect from a team standpoint."
Team Type 1's lead-out also served to shut down a lengthy breakaway that included Tyler Wren (Colavita-Sutter Home) and Peter Latham (Bissell). The pair were reeled in rounding the final corner to the finish line - just in time for the field sprint to start.
"With five laps to go, the gap was 15 seconds and with one lap to go, it was five seconds," said Vassili Davidenko, Team Type 1 Directeur Sportif . "On the backstretch, with half a lap to go, it was still four seconds. But our guys were going full gas and Aldo and Ken came out of the last corner with a 20-meter gap."
The Boise Twilight Criterium fielded a strong group of sprinters looking to gain points toward the National Racing Calendar (NRC) ranking, a job made more lucrative after an increased prize purse of $18,000. The Downtown Boise Association (DBA) has partnered with the Wells Fargo and George's Cycles, the two companies that started the Wells Fargo Twilight Criterium 21 years ago.
The course consisted of a one-kilometre rectangular loop, with four left-hand turns. The sun set nearing the start of the men's 90-minute race where an estimated 15,000 spectators lined the downtown streets. Michael Creed (Team Type 1) kicked off the race with a solo breakaway. Upon Creed's return, Luis Amaran (Colavita-Sutter Home) countered his way into the second solo effort of the night.
The solo attempts were laid to rest when the duo of Wren and Latham gained a substantial time margin on the peloton mid-race. The pair's hard-fought effort to hold off the field came to an end on the final corner where they were passed by the barreling field sprint.
Brief results

1Ken Hanson (Team Type 1)
2 Aldo Ino Ilesic (Team Type 1)
3 Sebastian Haedo (Colavita-Sutter Home)

Amy Dombroski took the women’s crown in a two-up sprint with reigning U23 champion Chloe Forsman of the Luna squad, after the two battled for the majority of the three-lap race. Dombroski, who rides on the Webcor Builders professional road team, proved to be the better climber of the two, and repeatedly opened up gaps on Forsman on the course’s long, fire road ascent.

I had a blast at the Fitchburg Classic!

Andres Gil and I went back to the Fitchburg Stage Race last week. Chris Fisher and David Ricklefs met us at the hotel. We hooked up with the Williams Cycling New England race team. The Williams team consits of 11 great people who love to race their bikes and have a great time. We all raced a variety of categories. I must say, we did great! Great results and tons of fun. We all represented Williams Cycling well. In the end, it's about having a great time, racing bikes, lots of laughs and memories. I know we all look forward to the next stage race.

Andres Gil (above), Chris Fisher and a third rider put 7.23 minutes into the field on the road stage. A true breakaway of awesome power. Andres was an animal!!!

Beth Saman in the road race. These Williams ladies are strong!

Katherine Rodrique keeps an eye on the competition after the steep climb

This is my reverse attack! Some may attack off the front...not me. I say, go off the back fast and hard!!! I suffered on the road stage.

The Clapper kids. They saved us in the feed zone. Gotta love these kids.

Gerry "the lung" Clapper. This guy can climb!!! Clark Kent during the day! A wild climbing animal on the road! Top 10 on GC for Gerry!

Chris Petrillo and Rich Grant leading the field up the steep climb and into the feed zone. Man, this was a hard road race!

The team gets together before the road race!

Team dinner! A great bunch of people. I had a blast for sure! BTW, the guy in the back/middle with the crazy hair...Stamm Dance!

Chris Fisher,1st on GC. Andres Gil, 3rd on GC and the points jersey! The masters team had a great race. Four in the top ten on GC.

Chris Fisher, Pat McHardy, Andres Gil and Gerry Clapper get a call up to start the final crit stage. (Chris Fisher is on some secret prototype full carbon tubulars. Let's just say this...if you have ever wanted to race ultra light full carbon tubulars at less then $1,000 per set, your day is coming!) As Chris would say "the best wheels I have ever ridden" From a guy who raced Pro with Saturn Pro Cycling for years!!! BTW, that's our buddy Ed Beamon next to Andres! Great guy! Was the director of Navigators for many years. Ed knows how to race a bike!!!
